Police have recorded another “gas-and-run” incident in Quezon City involving an unidentified male suspect who fled a gasoline station without paying for fuel.
In a statement, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the incident happened around 3:16 am Sunday at a gas station along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Bahay Toro. The suspect, driving a blue sedan, reportedly had his vehicle filled with P1,500 worth of fuel before speeding away.
“The incident was promptly reported by the gasoline station attendant, prompting immediate police action,” the QCPD said.
Authorities added that a flash alarm has been issued, while investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the station and nearby establishments to identify the suspect.
The QCPD also urged the public to report any information about the individual to the nearest police station or through official hotlines.
The latest case follows similar incidents in the city, including one in Barangay Apolonio Samson in March involving a transport network vehicle service driver who later surrendered, and another in Barangay Payatas in April, where two suspects were arrested a day after fleeing a gas station.
