The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) launched simultaneous operations in four locations on Wednesday, May 27, to locate and serve the arrest warrant against Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II said tracker teams from the NBI, CIDG, PNP Intelligence Group, National Capital Region Police Office, and Police Regional Office 3 were deployed in coordinated operations in Parañaque, Bulacan, and Pampanga.
The CIDG said the operations were carried out following directives from the Department of Justice, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the PNP leadership to enforce the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.
Authorities said the synchronized operations across separate locations reflected the government’s effort to enforce legal processes across regional boundaries and ensure that arrest warrants are implemented without bias or exception.
The PNP said all actions related to the manhunt would be conducted professionally, impartially, and within the bounds of the law.
It also assured the public that the constitutional rights of all parties would be respected as authorities work to uphold the justice system and carry out lawful orders.
