The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) assured the public that prices of basic necessities and prime commodities would remain unchanged until December 31, 2026.
DTI Secretary Cristina Roque said manufacturers had committed to keeping their product prices stable despite rising oil prices and raw material costs.
The commitment covers essential goods such as canned sardines, milk, coffee, noodles, salt, soap, laundry detergent, and selected food ingredients.
According to the DTI, manufacturers have agreed to maintain current prices despite pressures from higher production costs.
Roque also assured the public that supplies of basic goods remain sufficient and urged consumers to avoid panic buying and hoarding.
