Kaye Abad Marks Cancer-Free Journey With Pink Ribbon Tattoo

Kaye Abad recently got a small pink ribbon tattoo on the right side of her rib cage, marking her breast cancer recovery with a personal symbol of survival, faith, and strength.

The tattoo came weeks after Abad publicly revealed that she is now cancer-free. She first opened up about her diagnosis in May through a birthday vlog released as she turned 44, where she shared that she had quietly faced breast cancer and had already completed treatment.

For Abad, the new ink appears to be more than art. It carries the weight of what she endured privately, as well as the relief and gratitude that came with recovery.

Photos and videos from Cebu-based 032 Tattoo showed Abad during the session. Tattoo artist Chow Abinales described the piece as a tribute to the unseen struggles, scars, and victories of cancer survivors. He also thanked Abad and her husband, Paul Jake Castillo, for allowing him to be part of such a personal moment.

Abad later reshared the studio’s post on her Instagram Stories, adding another public glimpse into a journey she had mostly kept away from the spotlight.

The gesture also comes during Cancer Survivors Month this June, making the tattoo even more meaningful. Earlier this week, Abad honored fellow survivors in a heartfelt post, recognizing every scar, silent battle, tear, prayer, and victory that comes with fighting the disease.

She also offered encouragement to those still undergoing treatment or recovery, reminding them that their strength can inspire others even when they may not realize it.

Abad’s decision to get the pink ribbon tattoo turns her recovery into something visible, permanent, and deeply personal. It is not just a mark of what she went through, but a reminder of the life, faith, and strength she carries into her next chapter.
