Television host Robi Domingo and his wife, Maiqui Pineda, have officially entered parenthood as they welcomed their first child.
The couple shared the news with a joint Instagram post on Monday, June 1, which contains a short video that showed the newborn while Maiqui rested on a hospital bed. Robi captioned, “Our newest housemate,” a playful reference to Pinoy Big Brother, the reality show where he first became known before later becoming one of its hosts.
In the video, Robi is heard gently greeting their son and saying, “Welcome to the outside world,” as the couple introduced their baby to followers for the first time.

The announcement was quickly met with congratulatory messages from fans and several entertainment personalities, including Gary Valenciano, Lea Salonga, Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, and Gabbi Garcia, who sent their well-wishes online.
Robi and Maiqui first confirmed that they were expecting a child on January 6, which marked their second wedding anniversary. In the months that followed, they shared selected moments from the pregnancy, including their baby shower in April and the reveal that they were expecting a boy.
The birth of their son is especially meaningful for the pair, who have been open about Maiqui’s health journey. She had earlier been diagnosed with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that can cause muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rashes.
Robi and Maiqui tied the knot in January 2024 after years together. Since then, they have shared glimpses of their married life with supporters, many of whom have closely followed their journey from wedding preparations to pregnancy and now parenthood.
As of writing, the couple has not publicly disclosed their baby’s name or other personal details.
