Japanese yakitori chain Torikizoku is making its Philippine debut with its first local branch set to open on October 12 at Serendra in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
Famous for its grilled chicken skewers and izakaya-style casual dining, the Japanese brand operates over 600 locations in Japan, where it has established a strong following through standardized pricing and an accessible menu.
Specializing in yakitori, traditional Japanese grilled chicken skewers, Torikizoku offers freshly prepared skewers, side dishes, and an informal dining environment modeled after Japan’s after-work dining culture.
Founded in Osaka in 1985, the brand’s Philippine expansion is managed by the JTC Group of Companies under a franchise agreement with Torikizoku’s parent firm, Eternal Hospitality Group.
The BGC branch will feature popular signature offerings including grilled chicken breast and thigh skewers, chicken nanban, and pot-cooked chicken rice.
Japanese business reports indicate that the local menu will follow a uniform price structure of P190 per item, reflecting the brand’s pricing approach in its home market.
The restaurant promotes a shared dining format, encouraging patrons to order multiple small plates rather than single main entrees.
Ahead of the opening, the brand set up installations around Serendra featuring its yellow mascot, Torikki, blending local and Japanese aesthetic elements alongside QR codes for advance reservations and online inquiries.
The company has also launched the local campaign slogan “Toriki Tayo” to adapt its brand message for Filipino consumers.
The opening forms part of Eternal Hospitality Group’s international expansion strategy across Asian markets, positioning the brand alongside established Japanese dining options in BGC.
