The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has joined forces with community partners and healthcare advocacy groups to expand Alzheimer’s awareness programs and senior care support systems.
The collaborative initiative integrates specialized health modules and dementia education into community orientation frameworks, targeting overseas Filipinos and their aging relatives.
Project organizers highlighted that early detection, social support networks, and caregiver resources remain vital for managing neurodegenerative conditions among elderly citizens.
“Strengthening dementia awareness ensures better care standards and healthier environments for our senior community,” agency partners said.
They also said, “Institutional collaboration allows us to deliver accessible support services directly to families managing cognitive health challenges.”
The CFO confirmed that joint outreach activities will continue expanding across regional centers to promote elder welfare and comprehensive family health support.
