Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) leadership stressed the need for a resilient power grid and responsive regulatory frameworks to support the country’s ongoing transition toward renewable energy.
Speaking before industry stakeholders, commission officials noted that integrating variable renewable energy sources requires simultaneous investments in transmission infrastructure and grid stability.
Regulatory authorities affirmed that modernizing policy tools ensures consumer protection while encouraging private sector investments in clean technology.
“The future of the energy sector depends on the institutions we strengthen and the policies we pursue,” regulatory representatives said.
They also said, “Responsive regulation must balance sustainable power generation with affordable rates for end-users.”
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to streamlining approval processes for clean energy projects to maintain grid reliability across national power networks.
