The Makati City Police Station has acknowledged the viral video circulating on social media showing a mauling incident involving a foreign national outside a nightlife establishment in Barangay Poblacion.

In a statement, the Makati police said the incident happened in the early hours of November 14, 2025, at URBN Bar Club, located near Peri-Peri restaurant along Makati Avenue.

Authorities said they received a report through the Philippine National Police (PNP) 911 hotline at around 3:24 am, prompting officers to immediately proceed to the area.

“Upon receiving a report via the PNP 911 hotline at approximately 3:24 am, our officers responded swiftly to the scene,” the Makati City Police Station said.

When police arrived, they found the foreign national involved in the incident. Despite what happened, the victim reportedly chose to go home and declined to file a formal complaint.

According to the police, the foreign national thanked responding officers for their assistance and instead requested help in getting a taxi.

“Upon arrival, they encountered the foreign national involved in the incident, who, despite the circumstances, opted to return home after declining to file a formal complaint. He expressed gratitude for the assistance provided and requested help in calling a taxi,” the statement read.

The Makati City Police Station assured the public that it remains committed to maintaining peace and order, particularly in busy commercial and entertainment areas such as Poblacion, where residents, visitors, and foreign nationals often gather.

“The safety and well-being of all individuals in our community remain our top priority,” the police said.

Authorities also urged the public to remain calm and to report any safety concerns or incidents to proper channels, stressing that immediate reporting helps police respond more effectively.

“The Makati City Police Station is dedicated to upholding peace and order and ensuring prompt responses to all incidents affecting public safety. We urge the public to remain calm and to report any ongoing concerns to the appropriate authorities,” it added.

The police also thanked the community for its cooperation as it continues to work for the safety and security of residents and visitors in Makati City.
