Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin met with Chargé d’Affaires Victorina Hesti Dewayani of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila to discuss areas of mutual interest and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in the energy sector.
The meeting highlighted the longstanding energy partnership between the Philippines and Indonesia, particularly in coal supply, as well as broader areas of collaboration that support energy security and shared energy priorities.
Both sides discussed the importance of continued engagement and cooperation in addressing regional energy challenges and ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply.
The discussions also underscored the value of strong bilateral relations in advancing energy initiatives that contribute to economic growth, sustainability, and regional development.
The DOE reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with international partners and stakeholders to promote a secure, reliable, and sustainable energy future for the Philippines while strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries in the region.
