The Philippine National Police arrested two Regional Most Wanted Persons in separate operations in Isabela on July 4 as part of its intensified campaign against wanted persons.
In Cauayan City, police operatives arrested a 20-year-old construction worker, alias “Dodong,” listed as the Number 6 Regional Most Wanted Person. The arrest was made based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in connection with four counts of rape.
The suspect is now under police custody while required legal procedures are being undertaken.
In a separate operation in Naguilian, Isabela, joint personnel from the Police Regional Office 2 and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested alias “Ric,” 29, the region’s Number 2 Most Wanted Person.
Police said Ric is facing two counts of violation of Republic Act No. 7610 and is currently in custody pending his turnover to the court that issued the warrant.
The PNP said the operations are part of its continuing efforts to locate and arrest wanted persons under the organization’s Focused Agenda through Enhanced Managing Police Operations. The campaign also supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen peace and order by ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts through lawful police action.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for their coordinated efforts and reminded police personnel to remain steadfast in carrying out their mandate.
