The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) recovered two motorcycles reported as stolen and failed-to-return in separate operations conducted in Kalinga and Maguindanao del Norte on June 15, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to intensify anti-carnapping enforcement nationwide.
In Tabuk City, Kalinga, personnel of the Kalinga Provincial Highway Patrol Team recovered a Euro Samurai 155 motorcycle that was reported stolen after being left unattended in Barangay Nambaran on May 20, 2026.
In a separate operation in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, personnel of the Special Operations Team of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, working with local police, recovered a Honda ADV160 motorcycle flagged under a failed-to-return complaint.
Authorities said both motorcycles are now under the custody of their respective operating units for documentation, verification, and further investigation prior to proper disposition.
PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan commended the operating teams, stressing that sustained intelligence monitoring and coordination with communities remain key to recovering stolen vehicles.
“The successful recovery of these motorcycles demonstrates the effectiveness of our sustained intelligence monitoring, follow-up investigations, and strong partnership with the community,” Batangan said. He urged the public to immediately report stolen or unreturned vehicles and to be cautious in dealing with undocumented motorcycle transactions.
The HPG said it will continue its focused operations against carnapping and related offenses, emphasizing accountability for offenders and the recovery of unlawfully acquired vehicles as part of broader efforts to enhance public safety.
