Multiple incidents involving exploding and burning electrical cables were reported in several areas of Las Piñas City overnight, causing concern among residents and disrupting electricity service in affected communities.

Based on reports from residents, the incidents occurred in Gatchalian Subdivision, TS Cruz Subdivision, Veraville 3 in Marcos Alvarez, Verdant Acres Subdivision, and Phase 3 Proper of BF Resort Village.

Authorities immediately responded to the affected areas to ensure public safety and prevent the situation from worsening.

The incidents were also reported to Manila Electric Company (Meralco) for immediate action and restoration of power service in the affected communities.

According to Meralco, several factors may have caused the electrical incidents, including overloading, short circuits, and loose electrical connections.

Concerned authorities continued conducting monitoring and assessment operations to ensure the safety of residents and prevent similar incidents from occurring.

No injuries were immediately reported in connection with the incidents, while repair and restoration efforts on the affected power lines remained ongoing.
