  • June 16, 2026

More transport operators and drivers are gaining access to modern electric vehicles through the E-Transport Loan Program of the Department of Trade and Industry – Small Business Corporation (DTI-SB Corp).

The financing initiative aims to help transport stakeholders lower operating costs, improve profitability, and transition to cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions.

According to the DTI, the program forms part of the government’s broader efforts to support Filipino entrepreneurs and modernize the country’s transport sector through innovation-driven initiatives that promote both economic growth and environmental sustainability.

The agency said every electric vehicle deployed on the road contributes to building a more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous Philippines by reducing dependence on traditional fuel sources and encouraging the adoption of cleaner technologies.

The E-Transport Loan Program reflects the commitment of the Bagong Pilipinas administration to empower transport operators and drivers while advancing the country’s long-term sustainability and inclusive development goals.
