The City Government of Taguig has commended the Philippine Air Force (PAF) for its assistance in responding to the recent fire incident in Barangay Western Bicutan.
According to the city government, the PAF deployed a helicopter to conduct Bambi Bucket operations, an aerial firefighting technique that uses a large bucket suspended beneath a helicopter to scoop and drop water on active fire areas.
The aerial support helped firefighters contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further, complementing ground firefighting operations during the emergency response.
Taguig officials lauded the officers and personnel of the PAF for their swift response, professionalism, and dedication to public service.
The city said the PAF’s assistance demonstrated the importance of inter-agency cooperation in responding to emergencies and protecting communities from disasters.
Officials also expressed gratitude for the PAF’s continued commitment to supporting local government units during times of crisis and ensuring the safety and welfare of residents.
