The Manila Police District carried out clearing and flushing operations along C.M. Recto on July 1 as part of Manila’s continuing campaign to keep major roads clean, passable, and safe.
Personnel of the MPD Special Mayor’s Reaction Team conducted the operation from Juan Luna to Asuncion, covering portions of Tondo and Binondo.
The activity involved the removal of road obstructions and the flushing of streets to improve sanitation, ease traffic flow, and provide safer access for pedestrians along one of Manila’s busy thoroughfares.
City authorities said the operation is part of the local government’s regular road-clearing and maintenance program aimed at keeping primary streets accessible to motorists, commuters, residents, and businesses.
The Manila City Government said it will continue similar clearing and sanitation operations across key roads and public spaces to maintain order, cleanliness, and public safety in the capital.
