Makati Clears Overgrown Trees Along Ayala Extension

The Makati City Government continues its efforts to maintain the safety and orderliness of public spaces through regular maintenance activities aimed at protecting residents and motorists.

According to the city government, the Department of Environmental Services (DES) recently conducted a tree trimming operation along Ayala Extension as part of Makati’s ongoing maintenance program for public roads and green spaces.

The activity was undertaken to help prevent potential hazards posed by overgrown tree branches, particularly during the rainy season and periods of strong winds. City officials said regular tree maintenance plays a vital role in ensuring public safety and reducing risks to motorists, pedestrians, and nearby properties.

“The tree trimming operation forms part of the city’s regular maintenance program to keep roads safe and minimize possible dangers caused by tree branches,” the Makati City Government said.

The initiative also aims to maintain the smooth flow of traffic along major thoroughfares while promoting the proper growth and overall health of trees across the city.

Under the leadership of Mayor Maria Lourdes “Nancy” Binay, the city government continues to implement programs focused on public safety, environmental management, and the upkeep of critical infrastructure and public spaces.

The DES said such maintenance activities will continue as part of Makati’s commitment to creating a safer, cleaner, and more resilient urban environment for residents, workers, and visitors.
