The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the Education and Training Command (ETCAFP), formally inaugurated the AFP Museum at Camp Aguinaldo, reaffirming its commitment to preserving the military institution’s history, traditions, and legacy of service.
AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. led the inauguration ceremony and highlighted the importance of the museum as a repository of the AFP’s historical milestones and enduring commitment to the Filipino people.
During the event, Brawner recognized individuals who contributed historical artifacts and memorabilia that helped enrich the museum’s collection.
He said the AFP Museum serves not only as a tribute to the courage and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers but also as a learning institution where future generations can better understand the Armed Forces’ role in nation-building, national defense, and the pursuit of peace.
The establishment of the museum reflects the AFP’s continuing efforts to preserve its institutional memory and protect the stories, traditions, and values that have shaped the organization throughout its history.
