Subic-based aviation service provider Aviation Concepts Technical Services Inc. (ACTSI) is widening its technical portfolio beyond conventional airframe maintenance to capture growing demand for high-speed digital integration aboard corporate aircraft.
A member of the Razon Group, ACTSI partnered with Gogo Business Aviation to incorporate aircraft connectivity solutions into its existing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations in the Philippines.
The commercial agreement authorizes ACTSI to market, sell, and install Gogo products locally, giving business aircraft owners and operators access to onboard wireless communications, broadband data, voice connectivity, and digital content delivery services.
Tom Phillips, Gogo Business Aviation regional director for Asia-Pacific, said the partnership would strengthen the company’s presence in the region amid growing demand for reliable inflight connectivity.
“As demand for seamless, reliable inflight connectivity continues to grow across the Asia-Pacific region, expanding our global network with high-caliber partners like ACTSI is essential,” Phillips said.
Phillips also said ACTSI’s technical expertise and commitment to customer service would help support business aircraft operators in the Philippines through Gogo’s connectivity solutions.
The partnership enables ACTSI to transform its Subic facility into a single-source hub for both mechanical maintenance and digital retrofitting.
ACTSI President and Chief Executive Officer TJ Trinidad said the partnership would broaden the range of services the company can offer its customers, as connectivity becomes an increasingly important part of the business aviation experience.
Trinidad also said the agreement would enable ACTSI to provide more responsive and personalized support to aircraft operators, particularly those operating the Philippines’ substantial King Air fleet.
To execute the retrofits, ACTSI will maintain Gogo-trained technical personnel and specialized equipment at its Subic Bay International Airport complex to perform system installations and product support under vendor standards.
The company noted that the agreement forms part of a broader commercial strategy to expand technical capabilities and deliver an integrated maintenance experience by offering mechanical repairs, technical expertise, and inflight connectivity services under one roof.
ACTSI operates an FAA Part 145-certified repair station providing MRO services for corporate jets, holding maintenance organization approvals from the Philippines, San Marino, the Cayman Islands, Qatar, Bermuda, and the Isle of Man.
