The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) denied reports that it had issued a new subpoena against Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
In a statement, the CIDG said there was no truth to claims that it had authorized a new directive, announcement, or enforcement timeline involving the senator after the official recall of an earlier subpoena.
The police unit said the circulating information was false and urged the public to stop sharing unverified reports that could mislead the public and strain institutional relations.
The CIDG also stressed that standard administrative protocols should not be distorted by speculation or inaccurate claims.
It said it remains committed to truth, justice, and the rule of law.
