4 Accused in Bulacan Flood Control Case Arrested

Four individuals facing charges of malversation of public funds or property through falsification of public documents were arrested in separate warrant operations conducted by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office on June 5, 2026.

Based on reports, three of the accused, identified only through their aliases as “Jun,” 51; “JP,” 41; and “Brice,” 40, were served warrants while already detained at a facility in Quezon City.

Another accused, a 63-year-old resident of Bustos, Bulacan, voluntarily surrendered following coordinated tracking operations.

The warrants stemmed from alleged irregularities involving a flood control project in Bulacan. No bail was recommended in the case.

The operations were carried out by Bulacan PPO intelligence and police units with support from various operational teams, as part of strengthened case build-up and focused law enforcement action under the Philippine National Police’s Focused Agenda and Enhanced Managing Police Operations.

The initiative is also aligned with the directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure accountability in government projects and strengthen public trust in institutions.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for the successful implementation of the warrants, stressing that accountability in public service must be upheld.

“Ang mandato ng PNP ay ipairal ang batas nang pantay para sa lahat. Hindi natin pinapalampas ang mga ganitong kaso dahil kailangan may pananagutan. Kapag may mali, dapat may kasunod na aksyon—para maprotektahan ang pondo ng bayan at manatili ang tiwala ng publiko,” he said.

Police said all accused were informed of their constitutional rights in a language they understood and are now under proper custody pending turnover to the issuing court.

The PNP reaffirmed its commitment to remain a disciplined, transparent, and service-oriented organization under the banner of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
