9 Taguig Most Wanted Suspects Arrested in May

  • June 11, 2026

Taguig City police arrested nine of the city’s 10 most wanted persons in May as part of intensified manhunt operations against fugitives in Metro Manila.

Taguig City Police chief Col. Julius Añonuevo said only the sixth-ranked fugitive on the city’s Top 10 Most Wanted Persons list remains at large.

“The remaining suspect is already the subject of a standing warrant of arrest and is currently under surveillance,” Añonuevo said.

He said intelligence and monitoring operations are continuing to locate the suspect, who has been designated as a priority target for June.

The arrested suspects face various charges, including rape, acts of lasciviousness, and drug-related offenses.

Añonuevo said the arrests were the result of sustained intelligence-driven operations by the Taguig City Police Station, with support from the local government led by Mayor Lani Cayetano.

Police said Taguig had earlier achieved a 100-percent arrest rate for its station-level Top 10 Most Wanted Persons from January to April 2026.

The accomplishment formed part of a wider police campaign in Metro Manila, where authorities arrested 261 wanted persons during the last week of May alone.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin said the campaign against wanted persons is part of broader efforts to maintain peace and order in the region, alongside operations against illegal drugs and criminal networks.

“Police units will not let up in pursuing fugitives, disrupting criminal networks, stripping illegal items from communities, and ensuring that police presence remains visible, responsive, and reassuring to the public,” Aberin said.
