Makati City hosted the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office–National Capital Region’s second quarter consultation dialogue with city and municipal social welfare and development officers at the Y2 Residence Hotel.
Councilor Ina Sarosa, representing Mayor Nancy Binay, welcomed participants to the gathering, which serves as a regular platform for DSWD-NCR to discuss program updates, policy developments, and coordination concerns with local social welfare offices.

The dialogue was attended by social welfare officials from several Metro Manila local government units, including Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Pasig, and Taguig.
Among those present were Makati City Social Welfare and Development Officer Maribel M. Lumang and DSWD-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Operations Bienvenido Jr. V. Barbosa.
The DSWD said the consultation dialogue aims to strengthen coordination between the regional field office and local social welfare departments to ensure the effective delivery of social protection programs and services across Metro Manila.
