Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza on Thursday led the turnover of condominium units to 108 beneficiaries under the city’s in-city vertical housing program.
The ceremony was held on April 23 at the Manila City Hall lobby, where recipients were awarded keys to their units at the San Lazaro Residences.
Domagoso congratulated the new homeowners and urged them to take care of their units.
Each unit in the 20-storey development has a floor area of 40 to 42 square meters, with two bedrooms. Monthly amortization ranges from P2,000 to P3,000.
“I believe that we in the government are not realtors to make money out of the money of the people. The money of the people must be utilized and converted to public service,” Domagoso said.
The in-city vertical housing program, which includes the San Sebastian and Pedro Gil Residences, was launched during the pandemic.
