Authorities arrested two alleged drug personalities and seized around 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P680,000 during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite on June 16, 2026.
The operation was carried out by joint personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 4A Special Enforcement Team and Cavite Maritime Police Station in Barangay Mambog 1.
The suspects were identified as alias Jerry, 55 years old, and alias Janice, 43 years old, both residents of Bacoor, Cavite.
According to authorities, the buy-bust operation led to the recovery of suspected shabu, marked money used in the operation, and a cellular phone believed to be linked to the illegal transaction.
The suspects were taken into custody and will face charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26(b) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which covers sale and conspiracy to sell illegal drugs.
PDEA said follow-up procedures and documentation are underway as part of standard protocol while investigations continue to determine possible links to wider drug distribution networks in the area.
