Tropical Storm Maymay (international name: Kujira) maintained its strength Wednesday morning, prompting state weather bureau PAGASA to keep Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 raised over six areas in Northern Luzon.
In its 8:00 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA reported that Maymay was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph.
As of 7:00 a.m., the center of the storm was estimated 170 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union, moving slowly westward.

- Remaining portions of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Benguet

- Aurora: Northern and central portions
PAGASA said Maymay is expected to move generally eastward and potentially make landfall over Ilocos Sur or La Union on Wednesday afternoon or evening.
The storm is then expected to traverse Northern and Central Luzon through Thursday. While it will likely remain a tropical storm before landfall, PAGASA projects it will weaken into a tropical depression by Thursday morning and further downgrade into a low-pressure area (LPA) by Thursday afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that 12,432 families (41,979 individuals) have been affected by the combined effects of Tropical Cyclones Luis, Maymay, and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
