Three Vehicles Recovered in Anti-Carnapping Operations Across Luzon

The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) recovered three motor vehicles in separate anti-carnapping and fraud-related operations conducted in Zambales, Bulacan, and Pangasinan on June 24, 2026.

In Subic, Zambales, personnel of the Provincial Highway Patrol Team intercepted a Toyota Vios along the national highway after it was flagged for a traffic violation. Verification showed the vehicle remained under financing and was reportedly linked to a “Talon Casa Benta” scheme, prompting further investigation.

In Bulacan, operatives recovered a Mitsubishi Montero in Malolos City during a routine anti-carnapping and traffic enforcement operation. Authorities said the vehicle was allegedly obtained through a “Labas/Talon Casa Accommodation” arrangement, which is now being examined as part of an ongoing fraud probe.

In Pangasinan, a Toyota Vios flagged under a “failed-to-return” scheme was also recovered after its present owner voluntarily surrendered the unit and coordinated with investigators.

PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan praised the operating units for the coordinated operations, saying the recoveries highlight continued efforts to address evolving motor vehicle fraud schemes.

“These recoveries reflect the commitment of our personnel to protect the public from fraudulent transactions involving motor vehicles,” Batangan said.

He also urged the public to exercise caution when purchasing or accepting second-hand vehicles and to report suspicious transactions to authorities for verification and possible enforcement action.
