Over 16,000 civil servants and fitness enthusiasts assembled at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Sunday, September 13, for the National Capital Region leg of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Lingkod Bayani Run 2026.
Personnel from various government agencies, including the Presidential Broadcast Service–Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS), participated in the event to mark the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, which highlights camaraderie, health and commitment to public duty.
Carrying the theme “Stride as One, Serve the Nation,” participants from PBS-BBS joined the 3-kilometer division to demonstrate support for health initiatives, workplace solidarity, and public servant welfare.
Beyond promoting active lifestyles, the annual fun run generates funding for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program, an initiative that provides financial assistance to the families of government workers who died in the line of duty.
The run forms a key part of the CSC’s annual anniversary programming aimed at recognizing the sacrifices of public workers while strengthening solidarity across government institutions.
