Seventeen personnel from the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Davao Region have been designated to participate in the Random Manual Audit (RMA) for the first-ever Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Election.
DepEd Region 11 spokesperson Jenielito Atillo confirmed that the selected personnel were formally assigned to join the Random Manual Audit Teams responsible for verifying the accuracy of the automated tally following the vote.
The regional deployment breaks down into 11 personnel from Davao del Sur, four from Davao Occidental and two from Davao City.
Atillo explained that the contingent includes both teaching and administrative personnel. Their assignment came after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) formally requested assistance from Education Secretary Sonny Angara to staff the post-election verification process.
Within the designated audit teams, the DepEd personnel will act as team secretaries and third members.
The Random Manual Audit is scheduled to start on September 18, 2026, shortly after voting concludes in the historic regional parliamentary election.
The deployment reflects DepEd’s ongoing inter-agency collaboration with election authorities to guarantee transparency and credibility as the audit process gets underway.
