Shared Premium Lounge at NAIA T3 Now Serving Seven Airlines

A new shared premium lounge at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 is now serving passengers of seven international airlines less than a month after opening, according to New NAIA Infra Corp.

NNIC said the First Meridian Lounge, located on Level 4 of Terminal 3, currently serves eligible business class and premium passengers of Thai Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Cathay Pacific, KLM and Qatar Airways.

More airlines are expected to join in the coming months.

The 2,600-square-meter lounge is a privately operated third-party facility under NAIA’s commercial arrangements with airport concessionaires. NNIC said it forms part of its broader effort to maximize limited terminal space and improve passenger experience.

The airport operator said the shared lounge model allows multiple airlines to use one large premium facility instead of maintaining separate airline-specific lounges that may remain underused outside peak flight periods.

NNIC said this helps free up more space for food, beverage, retail and other amenities that can serve a wider range of travelers.

“This shared lounge supports our effort to improve the passenger experience at NAIA while using terminal space more efficiently,” NNIC said.

“It gives eligible passengers a more comfortable and reliable pre-flight experience, while allowing us to create more space for food, beverage, retail, and other amenities that benefit a wider range of travelers,” it added.

The First Meridian Lounge offers premium travelers dining areas, spacious seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, workstations, shower facilities and real-time flight information displays.

It also features infant care rooms, sleep pods, private suites, children’s play areas, quiet zones, game and golf simulators, a bakery, teppanyaki station, halal section, full-service bar and wine cellar.

NNIC said the shared lounge setup aligns NAIA with major global hubs that use common-use premium facilities for passengers across different airlines, lounge memberships and access programs.

The lounge is among several projects being pursued by NNIC, concessionaires and service partners under NAIA’s modernization program. The airport operator said it will continue working with airlines and commercial partners to improve comfort, convenience and efficiency across all terminals.
