The Parañaque City Police clarified that a video circulating on social media showed an incident in Baclaran on July 14 involving an individual who was reportedly experiencing personal difficulties and depression.
According to the Baclaran Police Sub-Station, the situation escalated into an alleged violation of Article 155 of the Revised Penal Code, or Alarms and Scandals.
Police officers and local government personnel immediately responded to prevent the incident from escalating further.
The individual underwent a medical examination before being placed under the custody of the Parañaque City Police Station.
Authorities said the appropriate legal process was underway, including the possible filing of charges.
Police urged the public to verify the full context of videos shared online and avoid spreading misinformation or unverified claims.
