The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has relieved Brig. Gen. Michael “Mikee” Romero (Reserve) from his post as Wing Commander of the Tactical Operations Wing (Reserve) Northern Luzon amid an ongoing internal review and investigation.
The PAF confirmed that Romero formally tendered his resignation from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Reserve Force, effective August 19, 2026. The Air Force acknowledged Romero’s expressed gratitude for the trust, friendship and camaraderie extended to him throughout his tenure.
The military branch stated that it continues to thoroughly examine and verify all related records and administrative issuances to guarantee strict compliance with established policies and regulations.
Reaffirming its institutional standards, the PAF emphasized its commitment to transparency and process integrity while continuing to recognize the vital contributions and honor of reservists serving alongside regular military personnel.
