Boxing champion and current National Anti-Poverty Commission lead convenor and Secretary Manny Pacquiao conducted a training session with Polish President Karol Nawrocki during the foreign leader’s state visit to Manila.
Pacquiao shared a social media video showing the two sharing the ring at an Elorde boxing gym, where they practiced basic drills and mitt work.
” It was an honor to train His Excellency Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland. Mabuhay!” Pacquiao said in a post following the training session.
Nawrocki, who practiced sports such as football and boxing during his youth, previously featured boxing workouts in his campaign materials during the 2025 Polish presidential election.
The Polish president undertook a state visit to the Philippines from October 5 to 8, marking the first visit to the country by a head of state from Poland.
During his visit, Nawrocki met President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañang on October 6 to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including defense and security, trade, science and technology, food security, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
