The Makati City Police Station arrested a station-level Top 8 Most Wanted Person during a manhunt operation conducted on June 24, 2026, in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Negro,” 27 years old, was apprehended at around 1:40 pm to serve a sentence for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was carried out by personnel of the Makati Police Warrant and Subpoena Unit (WSU) led by Police Capt. Rodney Dalena under the supervision of Makati City Police Chief Police Col. Pedro Alagano Jr. The arrest was based on warrants issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Makati City under Criminal Case Nos. R-MKT-24-02575-CR and R-MKT-24-02577-CR.

Police said two Alternative Recording Devices (ARDs) were used during the operation in compliance with the Supreme Court’s rules on the use of body-worn cameras in the execution of warrants.

The suspect was informed of the reason for his arrest and his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine before being taken into custody at the Makati City Police Station’s Custodial Facility Unit while awaiting further legal proceedings. The warrant of arrest will be returned to the issuing court for appropriate action.

Alagano said the Makati City Police will continue to intensify its manhunt operations to ensure the immediate arrest of individuals wanted by the law and strengthen public safety in the city.
