Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Romblon Provincial Office and the Magdiwang Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of a government employee on June 15, 2026, in Barangay Poblacion, Magdiwang, Romblon.
The suspect was identified only as alias Ruben, 45 years old, a government employee and resident of Barangay Poblacion, Magdiwang, Romblon.
Confiscated from the suspect were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of more or less two grams and a standard drug value of ₱13,600.
The suspect is facing charges for alleged violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
