The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) continued its humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations on June 14, 2026, supporting relief efforts for communities affected by recent earthquakes in General Santos City and Davao Occidental.
In General Santos City, a deployed Disaster Response and Rescue (DRR) team assisted in the unloading of relief goods at Oval Plaza in Barangay Dadiangas. The activity was conducted in coordination with local government units and partner agencies to ensure the orderly and timely distribution of essential supplies to affected residents.
In a separate operation in Davao Occidental, another DRR team supported the loading of relief goods onto Black Hawk helicopters at the Emergency Operations Center in Barangay Lais, Malita. The supplies were airlifted to Barangay San Isidro, Jose Abad Santos, targeting communities in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
Authorities said the dual operations were aimed at accelerating the delivery of humanitarian assistance amid continuing recovery efforts following the earthquake impact in parts of Mindanao.
The NFEM said it remains on standby for further deployment as part of ongoing disaster response operations in coordination with local governments and national agencies.
Officials added that support missions will continue as needed to ensure affected families receive immediate assistance while recovery and rehabilitation efforts progress in the region.
