The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has partnered with GCash to strengthen financial inclusion and reintegration support for returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), particularly those without stable income after overseas employment.
The initiative seeks to address persistent gaps in access to reintegration programs, livelihood support, and financial management tools commonly experienced by returning migrants.
Under the partnership, CFO programs will be integrated into the GCash digital ecosystem, giving returning Filipinos faster access to government reintegration services, financial tools, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The collaboration also introduces expanded digital payment channels for CFO transactions, streamlining government processes and improving accessibility for overseas Filipinos and their families.
CFO Chairperson Dante Ang II said the partnership reinforces the agency’s mandate to support Filipinos overseas and ensure smoother reintegration upon their return.
Officials said the initiative is expected to build a more efficient and accessible support system that will help returning migrants rebuild livelihoods and achieve long-term financial stability.
