The Bureau of Customs-Enforcement Group (BOC-EG) and the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) recently met to explore ways to strengthen stakeholder engagement, improve customs facilitation, and address concerns affecting the country’s chemical industry.

During the meeting, officials from the BOC-EG and representatives of SPIK discussed measures to enhance coordination and deepen collaboration in resolving customs-related issues faced by the sector.

The discussions underscored the importance of maintaining open and continuous dialogue between the bureau and industry stakeholders to support more efficient customs processes and encourage greater compliance with customs regulations.

Both parties also identified potential areas for cooperation that could help streamline procedures and address sector-specific concerns while promoting a more responsive and business-friendly customs environment.

The meeting reflects the BOC’s continuing efforts to engage stakeholders and strengthen partnerships with industry groups to improve trade facilitation and enhance the delivery of customs services in the country.
