The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) took part in the nation’s 128th Independence Day commemoration on June 12, 2026, joining ceremonies at the Rizal National Monument and the Parada ng Kalayaan at Manila’s Quirino Grandstand.

Following the ceremonies, AFP contingents joined the Freedom Parade, demonstrating the discipline, professionalism, and readiness of the armed forces in service of the Filipino people.
The AFP emphasized that its participation underscores a continued commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty, safeguarding democratic institutions, and preserving the freedoms won through generations of sacrifice.
This year’s celebration, held under the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan: Ang Kalayaang Pinapangarap,” highlighted the nation’s ongoing effort to honor the past while striving for a secure and prosperous future.
