AFP Chief Rallies Special Forces to Stay Loyal to the Constitution

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. visited the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, where he urged troops to remain disciplined, professional, and loyal to the Constitution.

The visit on May 14 formed part of the AFP leadership’s continued engagement with frontline units tasked with addressing security threats and supporting peace and development operations across the country.

Brawner was welcomed by Brig. Gen. Eros James Uri, commander of the Special Forces Regiment, along with officers and enlisted personnel of the unit.

The AFP said the visit reaffirmed the military organization’s commitment to service and professionalism, while recognizing the crucial role of Special Forces operators in protecting national security.

In his message to the troops, Brawner commended the soldiers for their sacrifices and dedication to duty, stressing that military service must always be anchored on discipline, patriotism, and loyalty.

“Continue doing good service for our country. Be proud of the uniform you wear and always be loyal to our Constitution, our people, our organization, our country and our flag,” Brawner said.

He also reminded the troops to uphold the highest standards of service as the AFP continues to respond to evolving internal and external security challenges.

The Special Forces Regiment is among the Army’s elite units trained for unconventional warfare, internal security operations, counterterrorism, and support missions in conflict-affected areas.

Brawner’s visit came as the AFP continues to emphasize professionalism and institutional loyalty among its ranks, particularly among units deployed in critical security operations.
