More than 983,000 public school teachers employed by the Department of Education (DepEd) are scheduled to receive their P1,000 World Teachers’ Day Incentive Benefit (WTDIB) on Monday, October 5.
The annual payout serves to recognize the dedication and contributions of educators nationwide as part of the official World Teachers’ Day celebrations.
The education department emphasized that the distribution of funds will proceed as planned to ensure teachers receive their financial incentive on time.
“The incentive benefit aims to recognize teachers’ contributions to educating youth and nation-building,” DepEd said.
The department also said that the grant will continue to be issued every October 5 in accordance with established guidelines and funding allocations.
