The Pasig City Incident Management Team (IMT) remains activated as the city continues its preparedness and response efforts against the effects of the southwest monsoon (Habagat), which has been intensified by Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi).
A total of 789 personnel from local and national government agencies were deployed from 8:00 p.m. on July 11 until 8:00 a.m. on July 12 to ensure continuous monitoring and emergency response operations across the city.
An Operational Period Briefing was held at 8:05 p.m. on July 11, led by Deputy Incident Commander Ronald Galicia, followed by the formal Transfer of Command between the outgoing and incoming IMT personnel to ensure seamless coordination and uninterrupted emergency operations.
With weather conditions showing slight improvement on Saturday, response teams shifted their focus to tree-trimming and clearing operations across the city to remove potential hazards and improve road safety.
The city government, in coordination with barangay officials, also remains prepared to open evacuation centers should the need arise, particularly in flood-prone communities that may be affected by continuous rainfall.
Authorities urged residents to continue monitoring official weather advisories and remain vigilant as changing weather conditions could still pose risks to the city.
