The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group arrested a wanted person included in the HPG Top 10 Target List for July 2026 during a joint intelligence-driven operation in Barangay Santo Niño, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The PNP-HPG said the operation was carried out by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 10 against an individual wanted for violating Section 3 of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
Authorities served the arrest warrant under Criminal Case No. R-CDO-25-04532-CR, issued by Branch 18 of the Regional Trial Court in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, on January 6, 2026.
The court recommended bail of ₱300,000.00 for the temporary liberty of the accused.
According to the PNP-HPG, the arrested individual was informed of the nature and cause of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights, including those provided under the Anti-Torture Act, in a language known to and understood by him.
He was later brought to the RHPU10 Office for proper documentation and disposition before his turnover to the issuing court.
