Over P40M in Drugs Seized in Weeklong Nationwide Drive

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, in coordination with the Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies, seized PHP 40.30 million worth of illegal drugs in a weeklong nationwide campaign from June 25 to July 2, 2026.

PDEA said the campaign covered all regions of the country and resulted in 49 anti-illegal drug operations, the arrest of 52 drug personalities, and the confiscation of shabu, ecstasy, dried marijuana leaves, marijuana plants, and marijuana seedlings.

Authorities seized 5,023.84 grams of shabu, 2,385 grams of ecstasy, and 2,459.53 grams of dried marijuana leaves. Law enforcement units also eradicated 28,800 marijuana plants and 2,100 marijuana seedlings.

Of the 49 operations, 39 were buy-bust operations, four were marijuana eradication operations, two were interdiction operations, two were search and seizure operations, one was the implementation of a warrant of arrest, and one involved the recovery of illegal drugs.

Among the biggest seizures during the week was the June 27 buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA Regional Office 13, in coordination with the Butuan City Police Office and various interdiction units, including the Airport Interdiction Unit, Seaport Interdiction Unit–Nasipit, and Dinagat Islands Provincial Office. The operation in Agusan Pequeño, Butuan City, led to the arrest of one drug personality and the seizure of 646.40 grams of shabu.

On June 28, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 5–Seaport Interdiction Unit–Matnog, PDEA Regional Office 5–K9 Unit, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Philippine Ports Authority conducted an interdiction operation in Caloocan, Poblacion, Matnog, Sorsogon. One drug personality was arrested, and 23.61 grams of shabu were seized.

Also on June 28, PDEA Regional Office BARMM conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Landasan, Parang, Maguindanao, resulting in the arrest of one drug personality and the seizure of 1,947.73 grams of shabu.

On June 29, PDEA Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region, together with the Apayao Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Pudtol Municipal Police Station, conducted a search and seizure operation in Doña Loreta, Pudtol, Apayao. Authorities confiscated 250 grams of dried marijuana leaves and 0.35 gram of shabu.

On the same day, combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 6–Guimaras Provincial Office and the Philippine Coast Guard conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Juan, Iloilo City, resulting in the arrest of one drug personality and the seizure of 57.59 grams of shabu.

Joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 6–Iloilo Provincial Office and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office–Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit also conducted a buy-bust operation on June 29 in Brgy. Apologista, Sara, Iloilo. One drug personality was arrested, while 207.13 grams of dried marijuana leaves and 0.07 gram of shabu were confiscated.

In Zamboanga City, combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 9–Zamboanga City Office and the City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Calarian on June 29, leading to the arrest of one drug personality and the seizure of 100 grams of shabu.

On June 30, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 9–Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit–Zamboanga Sibugay conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Lower Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay. The operation resulted in the arrest of one drug personality and the seizure of 2,000 grams of shabu.

Also on June 30, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 8 and the Tacloban City Police Office Station 2 conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. 36, Tacloban City, where one drug personality was arrested and 52.79 grams of shabu were seized.

At the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City, the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group Team 1 of PDEA Regional Office–National Capital Region conducted an interdiction operation on June 30. The operation led to the arrest of one drug personality and the confiscation of 2,385 grams of ecstasy.

In Kalinga, PDEA Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region, together with the Tinglayan Municipal Police Station and the Kalinga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, carried out a marijuana eradication operation in Buscalan, Tinglayan on June 30, destroying 10,000 marijuana plants.

On July 1, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 3–Bulacan Provincial Office and the Santa Maria Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Guyong, Santa Maria, Bulacan. One drug personality was arrested and 75 grams of shabu were confiscated.

The same day, PDEA Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region–Baguio-Benguet Provincial Office, together with the Kibungan Municipal Police Station, conducted a marijuana eradication operation in Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet, destroying 7,200 marijuana plants and 1,500 marijuana seedlings.

PDEA said the 52 arrested drug personalities included 43 pushers, three possessors, one drug den owner or maintainer, one drug den employee, three drug den visitors or clients, and one importer.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani R. Nerez said the agency remains committed to pursuing sustained and intelligence-driven operations against illegal drugs nationwide.

“These week’s seizures are a testament to the effectiveness of strong coordination among law enforcement agencies. We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations to dismantle drug syndicates and bring offenders to justice.”

Nerez said many of the successful operations were made possible through timely intelligence reports and active community cooperation, as he urged the public to remain vigilant and report illegal drug activities.
