The Armed Forces of the Philippines rejected attempts to draw the military into partisan politics, stressing that its loyalty remains firmly anchored on the Constitution, the rule of law, and duly constituted civilian authority.

In a statement, the AFP said it remains a professional and non-partisan institution committed to its mandate of defending the sovereignty of the State.

The military emphasized that its commitment to the Constitution is paramount and must not be undermined by political interests.

The AFP also said it will continue to support lawful government efforts to maintain peace and order, protect national security, and safeguard the rights and welfare of Filipinos.

It added that the organization will remain focused on its constitutional duty and will not allow itself to be used for partisan purposes.
