The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority cleared more than 36 tons of waste following a rally along EDSA White Plains in Quezon City as part of efforts to restore cleanliness, order, and public safety in the area.
The MMDA said its Metro Parkways Clearing Group conducted post-rally operations, which included the repositioning of concrete barriers, clearing of debris, and immediate collection of garbage left at the site.
According to the agency, the cleanup operation resulted in the collection of 103.6 cubic meters, or 36.585 tons, of waste.
The MMDA said it will continue conducting clearing operations to maintain order along major roads in Metro Manila, especially in areas where large public gatherings are held.
