The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group arrested a wanted person for alleged violation of the Social Security Act during an intelligence-driven operation in Echague, Isabela.

The operation was conducted on June 30, 2026, in Gapusan Village, Barangay Tuguegarao, Echague, Isabela, by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 2 through the Isabela Provincial Highway Patrol Team as lead unit, in coordination with the Echague Municipal Police Station.

Authorities said the accused was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Section 22(A) in relation to Section 28(E) of Republic Act No. 11199, or the Social Security Act.

The warrant was issued by Judge Jienna Bie Ongan, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Second Judicial Region, Branch 36, Santiago City, Isabela, under Criminal Case No. 16096 dated June 26, 2026.

The court recommended bail of Php72,000.00 for the temporary liberty of the accused.

PNP-HPG Director PBGEN Rommel S. Batangan commended the operating personnel for the successful implementation of the warrant through intelligence-driven police operations.

“The Highway Patrol Group remains steadfast in supporting the administration of justice by assisting in the lawful service of warrants and the apprehension of wanted persons. Through sustained intelligence gathering and close coordination with our partner law enforcement agencies, we will continue to ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts in accordance with the rule of law,” Batangan said.
