The Southern Police District (SPD) has intensified police visibility and security operations in and around schools as part of efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for students, teachers, and school personnel.
SPD Director PBGen. Glenn Oliver Cinco said police officers have been strategically deployed across the district’s areas of responsibility to conduct regular patrols and enhance security presence.
According to the SPD, the sustained police visibility aims to ensure operational readiness, deter criminal activity, and reinforce peace and order, particularly within school communities.
As part of the initiative, SPD stations also conducted school visitations and dialogue sessions with school officials to strengthen coordination and institutional partnerships on security concerns.
The discussions focused on enhancing campus safety measures, preventing potential threats, and improving collaboration between educational institutions and law enforcement authorities.
The SPD said the continuing efforts underscore its commitment to safeguarding schools and maintaining a peaceful and orderly environment through proactive policing and stakeholder engagement.
