Personnel of Sub-Station 6 of the Makati City Police Station rescued a woman and her three-day-old baby girl inside a 7-Eleven convenience store along Makati Avenue in Barangay Bel-Air, Makati City on May 28.

Police identified the woman as Elizabeth, who was reportedly found with her newborn after allegedly giving birth near the corner of Gil Puyat Avenue and Makati Avenue.

According to the Makati City Police Station, responding officers immediately conducted a search operation after receiving the report and were able to locate the mother and child safely.

The rescue operation was carried out through the coordinated efforts of Makati City Police Station personnel, together with rescue teams from the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO).

Authorities provided immediate assistance before safely transporting the mother and her newborn baby to Ospital ng Makati (OSMAK) for proper medical attention and further care.

The Makati police said the successful rescue operation demonstrated the dedication and compassion of police personnel in protecting and assisting vulnerable members of the community, particularly women and children in need.
