The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) successfully recovered two motorcycles reported stolen in separate anti-carnapping operations conducted in Maguindanao del Sur and Benguet on June 13, 2026.

In Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, personnel of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (RHPU-BAR), in coordination with the Pagalungan Municipal Police Station, recovered a Honda ACB125CBFTII motorcycle that had been reported stolen while parked unattended.

Meanwhile, in La Trinidad, Benguet, personnel of the Benguet Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT-Benguet) recovered a Honda Click motorcycle that had been reported carnapped in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.

Both recovered motorcycles are currently under the custody of the concerned Highway Patrol units for further investigation and proper disposition.

PNP-HPG Director PBGEN Rommel S. Batangan commended the operating units for their swift action and continued commitment to protecting vehicle owners from motor vehicle-related crimes.

“These successful recoveries demonstrate the effectiveness of close coordination between police units, intelligence gathering, and public cooperation. We encourage vehicle owners to immediately report suspicious incidents and remind the public to exercise caution when purchasing vehicles through informal transactions, particularly those conducted online,” Batangan said.

The Highway Patrol Group said it remains firm in intensifying anti-carnapping operations nationwide and in pursuing efforts to recover stolen vehicles and bring offenders to justice under the banner of “Sa Bagong PNP, Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
